Before we get to the eye candy, we’re filling you in on one of this season’s hottest shoe trends and how to style it: metallic heels.
1. COLOUR COORDINATION
There are your traditional silver, bronze and gold finishes, and then there are your coloured metallics. It’s important to know the difference as you should style them differently. Replace your regular neutral shoes with a pair in a traditional metallic finish to add an understated yet exciting and playful pop of colour. Coloured metallic heels are best styled with a toned down or complementary coloured outfit.
2. STAY FOCUSSED
The metallic trend can be quite overpowering, so (unless you want to look like you’re something straight out of an 80s disco) start by keeping your metallic shoes the focal point of your outfit. As a general rule of thumb, the more “metallic” your shoes are, the simpler the rest of your outfit should be.
3. DAYTIME DAHLING
We generally tend to associate metallics with glamour and often opt to wear them for evening affairs, but wearing them during the day can work just as seamlessly – if not more flatteringly. The rule of making your shoes the focal point still applies; style them with a pair of your favourite jeans, a loose top or with a full skirt or dress for an on trend, runway-inspired look – and you’re good to go.
Otherwise, metallic ballet flats, loafers or lace-up shoes are all great options for daywear.
When it comes to how to wear your metallic shoes this season, there’s something for everybody. Strappy sandals are great for working a glamorous angle, but pumps or court heels can stylishly satisfy those casual everyday needs.

According to Buzzfeed, more than 50 percent of women clasp their bras in front and swivel it around while less than 40 percent of women put their bras on ‘front ways’ before clasping it at the back.
Turns out, the latter clasping at the back is the recommended procedure, as it requires the least amount of pulling on your bra-which actually extends your bra’s life. But, if you fall part of the 50 percent of the ‘front clasp and swivel’ routine (because finding the clasp and actually hooking it in can be really, really hard) experts say that’s perfectly fine too-but you need to make sure to not put your arms through the straps at the same time and pull up, because this stretches the straps of your bra.
